This Florida couple thought they were settling into the quiet life after buying their home outright in 2009, no mortgage, no debt, nothing owed to anyone. So when Bank of America suddenly tried to foreclose on their fully paid‑off house, it wasn’t just a clerical error. It was a nightmare.

They spent months proving the obvious: the bank had made a mistake. A judge agreed, awarding them $2,500 in legal fees and ordering Bank of America to pay. And then the bank… simply didn’t.

So on June 3rd, the couple arrived at their local branch with their attorney, two sheriff’s deputies, and a moving truck. The deputies walked in and informed the stunned branch manager that unless the bank paid the $2,500 judgment, they would begin seizing assets, desks, computers, filing cabinets, even the cash in the tellers’ drawers.

Only then did the bank scramble to cut a check on the spot. Bank of America later apologized in writing… and even managed to misspell the couple’s name.

Their attorney called the whole ordeal “symptomatic of a larger problem”: banks filing foreclosures without doing even basic due diligence.

For the couple, it was a terrifying experience but also a rare moment where ordinary people forced a massive institution to follow the law. A small victory, maybe, but one that felt like justice.

A beautiful chapter just closed on a historic home on North Hills Boulevard in Sherwood, Arkansas. My seller is moving from this grand, character filled property into the cutest little cottage, a true storybook style home that feels warm and cozy and ready my buyer’s next season of life. My hope for her is that it becomes a place of comfort, joy, and many lasting memories.

The buyers, who recently moved here from overseas, were not represented by me, but I am genuinely excited for them. My wish is that they feel instantly at home in their new large home, welcomed and embraced by its charm and history.

On a personal note, it is a little bittersweet knowing my sign will no longer be seen along that busy stretch of North Hills Boulevard. That visibility has been a meaningful part of my presence there.  While my son was on N. Hills Blvd., many of my friends and neighbors commented to me throughout that time “Andy, I saw your sign!”

I am grateful for the trust, the journey, and the opportunity to help people transition into their next chapter.
