Weekend Getaway: Leadville, Colorado

Sometimes the best way to recharge is to explore somewhere new.

From the peaceful beauty of Turquoise Lake to the rich mining history of Leadville, this little mountain town was the perfect place to slow down, enjoy the scenery, and experience everything that makes Colorado so special.

We stayed in our very first tiny home, enjoyed an unforgettable dinner at Quincy’s Steakhouse, and took in the charm of one of Colorado’s most historic communities.

I love sharing local adventures, hidden gems, and everything that makes living in Colorado so incredible.

I'm currently going through inspection on two properties. As a listing agent (seller's agent), the hardest part of this process is waiting to see what the buyer(s) will put on the inspection objection and what they want to cure those issues. I try to be as helpful to the buyer's agent as possible. I want to let the buy-side know that we are reasonable and willing to work through issues that might come up. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's difficult. Inspection is the most tenuous part of any contract. I believe that everything can be worked out in communication. That's exactly why I have a communication degree from CU. I also have a certificate in mediation and public relations. I interned at The Conflict Center in Denver during and after graduating from college. I enjoy the negotiation process. I like finding common ground. I know buyers' agents get the sense that I'm here to help get to the closing table. Of course, I couldn't do it without my favorite contractor, Frank Caicedo! God bless this man. He's always providing stellar service and communication to help me help us get to closing. Thank you Frank for putting in, not 1, but 2 sewer clean-out access panels so that the sewer scope can happen tomorrow at this property!
