People ask me all the time..."What made you want to become a Realtor?" and I can remember the exact moment in time I made that decision but I truly think that I have been preparing for this career my whole life. I know that my decision to get my license was in the summer of 2003 when on a Sunday morning I was having breakfast with my husband and two small children talking about his career in Const
ruction and how he cant work that hard forever so even though we were just in our early 30's we needed to start preparing now for his/our retirement. After brainstorming we knew that the smartest decision was to use his talents and start doing "fix and flips". The market was great for it so I would get my Real Estate license and use that to help purchase and sell the homes and he would fix them up....Brilliant! So I went to school every night and every Saturday on top of working my amazing job at the regional office of Discount Tire and in 3 exhausting months and a tremendous amount of sacrifices on my families part I got my license in September of that year. I had a great job and now the license to work on my families future. Little did I know that was the beginning of a whole new life much greater than I had ever imagined. A short time later I was faced with a decision of staying with a career I loved, working for a company I so highly respected, a retirement and most importantly my families health insurance or pursuing a real estate career in an industry I never actually stepped foot in. With the overwhelming understanding and support of my husband I made the jump and off I went. On February 27, 2004 I packed up my desk, said goodbye to a family I had loved for 10 years and walked out the door with no idea of what I was doing. The very next morning I was sitting at an empty desk at Metro Brokers with no direction, very little money but the drive and motivation of 100 women. I knew I had to make this work for my husband, my family but most importantly for me. I thank all my family and friends who gave me the opportunity so early on and trusted me that even though I was new to this industry that I would not let them down. I worked 24/7 for 7 solid months before I took a day off, I learned everything I possible could about real estate contracts, lending, inspections, title companies, I went to classes, sat down with successful Realtors to pick their brains, took accounting class to learn how to manage my money through good times and bad, I followed my inspectors around from beginning to end to learn everything I could about structure, radon, lead, bentonite, soils, concrete, electrical, water heaters, furnaces, plumbing....everything! I came home every night with questions for my husband on how things work and what's the code for this and requirements for that. I wanted to know it all. I wanted to be the best Realtor in Denver. I wanted to take care of my clients, protect them, and make their transaction the best they ever had. I already had the mentality of "take care of people and they will take care of you" and that is exactly what happened from that moment on. Two years into my career I made the decision to leave Metro Brokers and pursue going out on my own and making our dream to make our future our own a reality. So I started SUPREME REALTY GROUP and once again never looked back. But just like the first day I started this career I was faced with the question of what next? As a company I now had to draft a company name, a logo, an office policy, an additional license and then came the extra fees. Every fee I paid as a Realtor I now had to pay again as a company but that's ok, it just made me work even harder to make this company work. A company where I made the rules, where no one could tell me how to treat my clients, what I could and could not do and where I was fully in charge of my own future. It also meant that no one told me to get out of bed, get dressed and get out there and work. Everyday you have to have the drive to succeed. YOU have to get yourself up, dressed and off to work and you have no one to blame if you don't but YOU! I have now grown my referral business each and every year, encouraged and trained numerous agents and have turned my clients into true friends that I care about like family. I have never compromised my ethics and have never steered away from the promises I made from day one. Looking back I think I have been training for this career my whole life. I moved a lot as a child and young adult adjusting from being born in New Jersey, raised mostly in Arizona, then high school in Iowa, only to go back to Arizona where I met my husband and moved to the beautiful most amazing state I call home...Colorado. Where my husband and I proudly raise our beautiful two daughters Breeana and Paige. My mother was a Realtor growing up, I lived around and played on construction sites as a young child and then went into the restaurant industry where I mastered those "customer service" skills. My life started out complicated and rough but has turned into a dream come true. I made a promise to myself as a little girl to help people, show them you care, protect them and enjoy life and that is exactly what Im doing! My goal is that every one of my clients, my agents and my staff feels that passion and love from me each and every day. I am so blessed for all the things in my life.
