“Things That Sound Completely Normal to a Montana Realtor”
--“There’s a seasonal creek.”
That means at some point during the spring there could maybe be some water trickling somewhere. Does that make it waterfront property? Apparently…
--“The road is maintained…sorta.”
That’s a classic.
Better batten down the hatches when driving up this one.
I kind of live on that road.
Hold onto your drinks and don’t take a sip just yet.
Ratchet strap anything down that’s in the back.
Roll up the windows so you don’t choke.
Watch for random items that have bounced out of the trucks in front of you. I have found some cool stuff.
Keep bubble wrap in the car to help keep things in one piece.
--“The cows don’t convey.”
You know, I’ve been known to write random things in a property offer.
The old truck in the garage.
The chicken coup (that’s a given these days).
The Corvette (that was a hard “no”).
The snowmobiles.
The children…ok, maybe not.
--“Walk up to the top of the driveway under that big tree for better cell service”
“Can you hear me now?”, Is a usual question.
Or “don’t move! I can hear you now”.
--“The property line is somewhere over by that fence.”
Had one where the guy moved the small branch of his irrigation ditch to “gain more property”.
There was one good neighbor who put his storage container over his line hoping no one would notice.
--“Yes, those are elk in the listing photos.”
I am always grateful when someone plants a cattle drive on photo day.
Antler sheds are good.
Babies are always a big plus.
Oh, and puppies!
And the classic:
--“It’s not super windy up here.”
I pull my hair back for those!
