Our team of energetic individuals have over 200 years of combined experience in managing real estate transactions from start to finish so our clients can rest assured we know our jobs inside and out. Polk County Abstract’s roots date back to when it was originally established as Garvey Abstract in the basement of the Polk County courthouse. Today, the company is a sovereign plant, with title records, still on site, dating back to land grants issued early in Polk County’s history. Since that time, the company has gone through several names, owners, and locations. It became a wholly-owned subsidiary of First National Bank of Livingston in 2000. In 2007, the Bank purchased Livingston Abstract to expand the resources and better serve customers’ needs. In 2010, Ron and Kathy Boyce purchased the firm from First National and changed the name to Polk County Abstract, Inc. Ron had worked with the company for 10 years before the purchase and had a long history in forestry, oil and gas leasing, and real estate title. Son, Andrew Boyce and his wife Dakota also work in the family business. With its comprehensive title plant, the latest technology to quickly access the massive data banks, and a team of experienced real estate professionals, Polk County Abstract is the logical choice to finalize responsive, accurate, and efficient real estate transactions.

We are excited to introduce Kaitlyn as the newest member of the Polk County Abstract team!

Kaitlyn brings a background in banking, mortgage lending, and customer service, along with a genuine passion for helping people. Her experience has taught her the importance of attention to detail, communication, and, most importantly, building relationships and earning the trust of the people she works with.

Outside of the office, Kaitlyn and her husband stay busy chasing after their two boys! Between ball games, practices, hunting trips, outdoor adventures, and everything else that comes with raising two active boys, there is rarely a dull moment in their household. Family time is at the heart of everything they do, and they love making memories together!

Emily is the friendly face behind the reception desk, opening new orders and helping keep the escrow process running smoothly. With nearly four years at PCA she brings a wealth of knowledge and a true understanding of how every piece of the title process fits together.

When she’s not at the office, Emily’s creativity comes out as a makeup artist, and you’ll often find her enjoying the outdoors hunting and fishing. Most of all, she loves spending quality time with her husband and their two kids.

👋 It’s been a while since Facebook has seen our faces, so we thought it was the perfect time to reintroduce our team!

Meet Judy, one of our incredible title abstractors and a true cornerstone of our office. Judy’s journey began in Washington, D.C., as the daughter of an Army serviceman, and eventually brought her to Livingston, where she has built both her life and career.

With 50+ years of experience in the title industry, Judy has worked with Livingston Abstract Company, Polk County Title, and Polk County Abstract—and she still loves what she does. As she says herself, she’s “not ready for the rocking chair yet!”

Outside of work, Judy treasures time with her family, including her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, enjoys playing games with friends, cruising, and hunting for the best yard-sale finds.

We are so blessed to have Judy as part of our team and are excited to start sharing more of the faces behind the work you trust every day. 💙
