Be aware! Criminals are creative!

Just received a cell phone call alerting me that my Northwestern Energy service will be turned off in 30 minutes for lack of payment. It directed me to press 1 for help with my issue...only, I don't have Northwestern Energy service. My phone said that it was Northwestern Energy calling and even showed their correct customer service number. Do not follow the calls instructions to press a number for assistance. A call to Northwestern Energy confirmed that this is a scam and one that is hitting Montana hard in the last few days. If an unsolicited call is informing you of a problem, contact the business or agency directly, not through the unsolicited call, to confirm that there is an issue. Be aware and stay safe.
