A little life update, a little kid talk… and a BIG reminder to be careful about what you find online. 👀🏡

Recently, a friend sent me a property she was interested in leasing. The price looked REALLY good… almost too good to be true.

And unfortunately, it was.

I’ve come across several TikTok videos advertising homes for lease at extremely low prices. After doing a little digging with the tools and resources I have access to as a REALTOR®, there were some major red flags. 🚩

These types of scams can lead someone into sending money just to “schedule a showing” or secure a property that may not even be legitimately available through the person advertising it.

PLEASE protect yourself and protect your money.

Before you send anyone money, give out personal information, or pay to see a property you found on TikTok, Facebook, Marketplace, or anywhere else online — reach out to a local REALTOR®.

Send it to me. Let me look into it.

In this case, I was able to help my friend avoid what appeared to be a potential scam, and THAT is part of what I’m here for.
