Being a native Long Islander I adore the different villages and towns of the South Shore. Today I am starting with:

📍Freeport, NY & the Nautical Mile

Freeport, itself, is very special as a good amount of my family and in-laws still live, play, and work in the village. Plus, for all my fellow homesteaders, it’s one of the few areas in the Town of Hempstead that specifically allows residents to have backyard chickens!
