2024 was another interesting year for real estate (every year has been interesting in one way or another.) Interest rates stayed up, prices leveled off a little bit, but didn’t go down like many people hoped (I don’t think they will). It was a more balanced market, which I feel is good for everyone, and though it was the lowest number of transactions I have done in a year, I closed 8 transactions and 100% of those were either former clients or referrals from clients, friends, and family. Running my real estate business through repeat and referral clients is amazing! It allows me to enter the client/agent relationship with a foundation of trust and frees up some of my marketing time to better focus on my transactions. I work very autonomously with both my Utah and Idaho brokerages, meaning I manage my own files and work hands-on through all aspects of the process, which I love.
Here is how 2024 broke down for me:
6 Purchases
2 Listings
6 Utah transactions
2 Idaho transactions
1 First-Time-Home-Buyer purchase
1 Divorce sell
1 Investment property purchase
3 Agent-referred clients
1 Cash purchase
2 FHA loan purchases
3 Conventional loan purchases
2 repeat clients
1 sell/buy
2 new construction purchases
1 IRA Real Estate purchase
3 Out-of-State buyers
0 Perfectly smooth transactions
35 Hours of continuing education
47+ Learning experiences to make me better.
I had a listing cancel our agreement and go with another agent; another learning experience I will be better for. I had dozens of conversations with potential clients who were not ready but are better prepared for when the time is right for them. I worked with many excellent agents and only one agent I hope I don’t have to work with again— they probably feel the same about me. We faced some hard things in that transaction, yet, in the end, everything worked out for our clients, which is the most important thing.
Big thanks to everyone who has shared my name, I appreciate it so much. My brokers—Tiffany Dominguez for Lumina Real Estate in Utah and Angi Bair for Aspire Real Estate Services in Idaho—are amazing. I am so grateful to work with such smart and generous women.
I am starting 2025 with three listings (Preston, ID, Willard, UT, and Taylorsville, UT), soon to be four (Roy, UT). I have half a dozen buyers actively looking and have committed to no summer vacations, as that was a challenge this year. I am busy but also have space for anyone you know ready to make a move.
