October’s artist of the month is Jessica Van Camp! Here is a word from Jessica about her work:

From textile arts of quilts, tote bags, and personalized embroidery what I make is made to stand up against whatever life throws at it.

All my art pieces are made to be machine washable and dryer safe. I want my art enjoyed, used, and able to travel with you on your journeys.

I create custom embroideries and even personalization onto jackets, scarves, and stockings. You can reach out to me for your holiday gifts and add some personal flair.

👻🎃 You’ve been BOO’d! 🎃👻

The Halloween fun has officially arrived at Lilac Station! 🧡

Today, we kicked off our Boo Bag tradition by secretly delivering bags filled with candy and spooky treats to some of our residents. And, of course, our official delivery assistant, Scooby, was more than happy to help spread the Halloween cheer! 🐶👻

Now it’s YOUR turn! Once you’ve been boo’d, grab a Boo Bag and surprise a neighbor! Simply fill it with some treats, choose a neighbor, and leave a little Halloween magic at their door. 🎃🍬

🧡 Boo Bag supplies are available outside the leasing office ALL MONTH LONG, so you can keep the fun going throughout October!

Let’s see how many doors we can BOO before Halloween! 👻

Smoky skies couldn’t stop the fun! 🌥️🎉 We brought the block party indoors and had an unforgettable night filled with Chick-fil-A, a live DJ, dancing, impromptu karaoke, drinks, and lots of laughter.

And a special shoutout to one of our amazing residents who truly saved the day! 🍋 When we ran out of lemonade, he brought everything down to whip up a fresh batch of homemade lemonade for everyone. It’s moments like these that remind us what community is all about.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a fun night—we’re already looking forward to the next one! 💙

This month, we’re featuring resident, Brooklyn Turnbo, an 11-year-old artist who has loved painting since she was four years old. From creating art to horseback riding, playing the violin, and spending time with her family and friends, Brooklyn brings creativity and joy wherever she goes.
