On July 31st, the national forbearance for federally backed mortgages will end and 77% of homeowners have a repayment plan in place. For some of the rest, there might be an opportunity to see an influx of homes on the market.

Lumber inventory held by builders, who bought when lumber prices were high, need to sell inventory close to purchase price to not incur a loss. The goal of wholesalers and retailers is to buy low and sell high... the reverse is currently the dilemma for builders who purchased at high lumber prices.
