If you’ve been dreaming about buying a home but feel like saving for a down payment is standing in the way, the new HomeBoost Program may be able to help.

Qualified buyers could receive up to $20,000 in grant funding to use toward down payment assistance, closing costs, and homebuyer education expenses.

A few highlights:

• Up to $20,000 in assistance may be available
• For eligible first-time and first-generation homebuyers
• Available on primary residences in Indiana and Michigan
• Minimum buyer contribution of $500
• Household income limits apply

📅 Funding is expected to open July 8, 2026, and will be available until funds are exhausted.

I'm currently getting quotes to get some work done at my own house and can I say, it's completely overwhelming finding the right contractor. There are so MANY choices out there! How do I pick the right one?
