Fun fact: Indians Wells was the 400th incorporated city in California. This occurred on July 14 (Bastille Day) in 1967. So the 60th anniversary is just 4 years away!


In 1853, W.P. Blade, a Smithsonian Institution geologist, reported the community was a thriving Indian village.

The Indian Wells Country Club opened in 1955 and was co-founded by Desi Arnaz.

Average daytime temperature in July is 106 degrees.
