Jan Canters
I was born in the British Crown Colony of Hong Kong to a Belgian father and a Portuguese mother from Macau, but originally from Shanghai. Since the education system in Hong Kong, for foreigners was not very strong, I was sent to boarding schools in Europe. For middle school and high school I was able to return to Asia and go to American Schools that had been started in all the major A
sian capitols. I went to high schools in Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, the Philippines and finally graduated from Hong Kong International School. I came to America to go to university, and started at the University of Texas at Austin as a Pre Med double Major in Biology and Chemistry. I soon changed my mind about medicine and gravitated to my first love which was Architecture. I moved to Washington DC to attend the Catholic University of American where I got my under-graduate degrees in Residential Architecture and Economics. I went on to get my graduate degrees in Finance and City Planning Urban Design. After university I moved to Southern California where I have worked for some of the largest Architecture firms in the nation specializing in Real Estate Development. Since then I have become a Realtor, and am now focused on helping people find their perfect home. I find working as a Realtor to be very gratifying in helping people and enjoying the process of either buying the perfect home or selling their home to the right buyer. I have continued the process of my education in my chosen field and am presently a certified Luxury Portfolio agent, a Christie's International Real Estate Agent, and a qualified First Team Luxury Estates agent. I would love to use my skills to find the right Real Estate choice to fit your exact needs.
