A special celebration for our Vistas Project H.A.N.D.S. volunteers in Van Nuys, CA! Residents were recognized for their dedication to our scarves and blankets project with Certificates of Participation and Project H.A.N.D.S. pins. The event wrapped up with food, fellowship, and plenty of great conversation as neighbors celebrated their accomplishments together.

RHF was honored to gather for a ribbon‑cutting ceremony marking the opening of Congregational Place, a thoughtfully designed 55‑unit affordable senior housing community serving adults age 55 and above in Chula Vista, CA.

We extend our sincere appreciation to our partners, Community Congregational Development Corporation (CCDC), Consolidated Contracting, and Studio E Architects, USA for their collaboration in bringing this community to life.

We were honored to have Chula Vista Mayor, John McCann, and Vernita Todd from San Ysidro Health's PACE Program participate in the ceremony and make remarks. Aides representing Congressman Juan Vargas and Assemblymember David Alvarez also joined us in marking this important milestone.

Through RHF's partnership with San Ysidro Health, Congregational Place residents will benefit from on‑site access to the Program of All‑Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), which provides preventive, primary, acute, and long‑term care services that support older adults in continuing to live independently.

Jimmy Lontayo, the community's first resident, participated in the ribbon‑cutting ceremony.

“As our senior population continues to grow, we need more affordable housing options that recognize that a home is only one part of what helps older adults remain independent and connected to their community,” said Stuart Hartman, President & CEO of RHF. “Congregational Place brings together housing, services, and amenities in one location. We are proud to open the doors to this beautiful new community and welcome our residents home.”

RHF looks forward to welcoming residents into this new community, designed to support older adults in living independently and staying connected to the heart of Chula Vista.

Angelus Plaza in Downtown Los Angeles came alive with joy, talent, and community spirit during the 25th Annual Angelus Plaza Talent Show! This cherished event featured our talented residents who wowed the crowd with performances that included singing, dancing, drumming, comedy, and more. Congratulations to the Korean Drum Circle for earning first place with their spectacular musical performance, and to all of the incredible participants who took the stage! A beloved Angelus Plaza tradition, the annual talent show continues to bring neighbors together while proving that creativity, passion, and performance know no age limit.

Residents at Darson Marie Manor and Bexton Place in San Antonio, Texas, recently faced severe storms that brought strong winds, heavy rain, power outages, and property damage throughout the area. Despite the challenges, residents showed incredible resilience by checking on one another and offering support while waiting for power to be restored.

Many thanks go to Justin Oldt, the executive director of Preparedness and Response at National Emergency Management and Response (EMR) who loaned the communities a generator until power was restored!

During this difficult time, manager, Jo Ann Montelongo, helped lift residents' spirits by providing a meal, while maintenance staff member, Arthur Garza, worked tirelessly to help ensure resident safety. Regional Manager, Thuy Hoang, also played a vital role by coordinating support and identifying emergency resources for the communities. Together, their efforts served as a powerful reminder of the strength that comes from caring for one another.

Thankfully, all residents remained safe, and electricity has since been restored. While the storm caused significant disruption, it also highlighted the compassion, teamwork, and sense of community that make Darson Marie Manor and Bexton Place so special.

The Resident Art Expo at Cocalico Place in Ephrata, PA was a wonderful opportunity for residents to share their talents! From needlework and pencil art to watercolor, acrylics, and stained glass, they had a beautiful variety of pieces on display.

Residents shared the obstacles they encounter in remaining active and independent, creating an important dialogue with those seeking to serve the Camp Verde, AZ community.
