All we can say is, it's about time.

Tenants paying top dollar for modern New York City apartments are battling chronic maintenance issues, according to a Gothamist investigation.

New York state is showing its compassionate side by reducing property taxes for those whose spouses have died in the line of duty. This property tax relief was approved and signed into law by Governor Hochul in December.

Gov. Hochul signed the legislation in December but cities and towns where police widows live will have to approve the rebate for it to stick.

This is HUGE news....the Department of Buildings is overhauling its inspection process. There are a number of proposed changes to the program that put less burden on building owners; one of the biggest ones, is the inspection cycle would go from five years to six. Read more here....
