A little waterfall stop you’ll want to add to your Long Lake itinerary 🍂

Just about a 5-minute drive from Paddler’s Rest, Buttermilk Falls is an easy little adventure along the Raquette River. The falls are only about a 0.1-mile walk from the parking area, making this a perfect quick stop while you’re exploring the Adirondacks 🌲

It’s part of the Hamilton County Waterfall Tour and the area also connects to a canoe-carry trail along the Raquette River, so it’s especially fitting for a getaway at Paddler’s Rest. 🛶

Winding down through the pines toward Long Lake🌲💧

This staircase stays tucked in green, but the view waiting at the bottom changes beautifully with the seasons. This was the lake last fall, framed by all those warm autumn colors 🍂 With Labor Day weekend here, we’re enjoying the last days of summer while knowing this view will look like this again before we know it. You can see it, too....stay with us.
