We just had our first guests staying at TNT Emerald Hideaway. They liked it so much, they added another night to their stay. We still have some work to do outside, Tony is actually putting a shed together in the dark as I am creating this post. I thought now would be a good time to do another before and after. This is the dining area and living room on the main floor. I am loving all of the natural lighting and feeing like we are living in the trees on this level of the house.

Now that our doors are open, I would like to share some before and after photos starting with our lower level game room. It is so hard to decide what games guests will enjoy. One thing my husband insisted on was a bubble hockey game. He remembered how much fun it was to play when he visited a local shopping mall when he was growing up. I personally chose the arcade console table with over 500 classic arcade games from the 80’s. I remember playing these games when at the local roller skating rink in elementary school and junior high school.

We officially closed on our newest vacation rental property in Emerald Lakes!

We’re especially excited because this one is right here in our home state — only about an hour drive away. Unlike our other properties that were mostly turnkey, this 4-bedroom house needs to be completely furnished and designed from top to bottom. Sounds fun, right?!

We’ll be sharing the journey along the way — before & after photos, decorating decisions, furniture finds, and all the little details that turn a house into a getaway. And with so many rooms, there are definitely going to be a LOT of decisions to make.

Stay tuned… I may even need your opinions along the way!
