El Tropicalé: Apartments With Old Sarasota Style.

This is our own building, El Tropicalé, on Morrill Street between Laurel Park and Towles Court, a few blocks from downtown Sarasota. We renovated it in 2020 and named each of its 11 apartments after one of Sarasota's fruit streets, with murals of the old Lido Pavilion, Sarasota Jungle Gardens and the Ringling Bridge around the courtyard.

A botanist lived in this little Laurel Park house on Oak Street. When Hans Wiehler's plant collection went to Selby Gardens - Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, it reportedly arrived in two moving vans. 🌿

Owen Burns made land: how Golden Gate Point was built
