In 2013 Farrell retired from a career in Law Enforcement as Chief of Police. During his LE career he served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Police Chiefs Association. He was an Emergency Management Coordinator, a Certified Fi****ms Instructor, Crime Scene Technician, Special Investigator, and earned many other certifications and awards. After retirement he started full time real estate. Farrell has lived in Gladewater since 1990. He and his wife Kay have three grown children. Farrell serves his community in many ways. He is 1st Vice President of Gladewater Chamber of Commerce, Past President and Zone Chair Gladewater Lions Club, served 1 term on the Gladewater City Council, and currently is Pastor at Eastview Baptist Church Kilgore TX. Farrell also has training in economic development. He maintains membership in the Texas Economic Development Council, TEDC, and is a certified Economic Developer. Farrell is the Bi-Vocational Pastor of Eastview Baptist Church Kilgore.

In 2013 Farrell retired from a career in Law Enforcement as Chief of Police and went into full time real estate. Farrell has lived in Gladewater since 1990. He and his wife Kay have three grown children. Farrell serves his community in many ways. He is a member of the Gladewater Chamber of Commerce, Gladewater Lions Club, serves as an Elder at Gladewater Bible Church, and serves as an elected Gladewater City Council Member.
