That 73 closings number can make Torrance look easier than it is.

Short version of my Torrance June 2026 market update:

May closed sales looked solid.
But pending house sales were 47 after April's 79.

That matters because sellers do not sell to the buyer who already closed. They sell to the buyer still comparing payment, condition, HOA, parking, schools, commute, and the next listing.

In the June 2026 Torrance housing market, West Torrance, South Torrance, and Hollywood Riviera still showed support when the home made sense.

Harbor Gateway, Old Torrance single-family, Southwood, South East Torrance, condos, and townhomes needed more proof.

So is it still a good time to sell a home in Torrance?

Yes, if the price and prep match today's buyer choices.
No, if you are pricing from the citywide headline.

The real market is the set of homes a buyer can choose instead of yours.

If you are searching "what is it like to live in Long Beach," this is the kind of local detail a listing photo will never show you.

Moonlight Movies on the Beach is a free summer movie series at Granada Beach in Long Beach, California. It brings together the beach, food trucks, blankets, low chairs, sunset, and the coastal routine people are usually trying to buy when they say they want to live near the water.

The official Summer 2026 lineup currently lists:

June 23 - Jurassic Park
June 30 - The Breakfast Club
July 14 - A League of Their Own
July 21 - The Lost Boys (1987)
August 4 - A League of Their Own
August 18 - Grease Sing-A-Long

Movies start at sunset, roughly 8-8:30 PM. Parking is free after 6 PM, but it is limited and first come, first served, so build in a little buffer. The event page also notes that food trucks and kettle corn are onsite, BYOF is welcome, and alcohol is prohibited.

Redondo Beach sellers: the headline still looks strong.

Single-family homes in Redondo Beach were still moving quickly in May. The citywide single-family market had 52 active listings, 2.3 months of supply, an 8-day median time active, and sellers received 100.9% of original price at the median.

That is real support.

But it is not the whole story.

Pending sales softened from 26 in April to 17 in May for single-family homes. Condo and townhome pendings fell from 43 to 20. Attached homes still closed, but buyers were more selective before writing the next offer.

If you are asking whether Redondo Beach is still a seller's market, the better answer is this: demand is still here, but buyers are comparing harder. They are looking at the payment, the HOA dues, the condition, the alternatives nearby, and whether the price makes sense without a long explanation.

For a Redondo Beach homeowner, the risk is not demand disappearing. The risk is pricing from the headline instead of the buyer's actual choice set.

Before you list, pressure-test three things:

1. Does the payment still feel worth it to the buyer who is active right now?
2. Do the nearby alternatives make your price easier or harder to believe?
3. Will the first two weekends of feedback support the story?

When those line up, Redondo Beach can still reward a seller quickly. When one is weak, the market may still get you to a sale, but it may do it through extra time, price adjustments, credits, or negotiation pressure.
