Is it possible to sell your home ‘as-is’ in Palo Alto? Absolutely, especially if your goal is to simplify the process and avoid repairs. But here’s the key: as-is means you’re not planning to fix things. It doesn’t mean you can skip disclosures or leave buyers guessing.

If you’re selling as-is, your best leverage is clarity. Palo Alto buyers often make stronger, cleaner offers when they can review a solid disclosure packet up front. That usually includes a general inspection, pest report, and any relevant reports like roof or foundation, plus the standard natural hazard disclosures and any permit/upgrade history you have. The more uncertainty you remove, the easier it is for buyers to price the home confidently.

The biggest pricing mistake sellers make is using a fully remodeled neighbor’s sale as the benchmark. In this market, buyers are still price-sensitive about condition and the gap between ‘needs work’ and ‘turnkey’ can be significant. The right pricing strategy accounts for renovation scope and unknowns, not just the address.
