Big changes are coming to condo financing. ‼️

If you’re thinking about buying a condo, this is something you’ll want to know.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have updated their condo underwriting guidelines, which means lenders may take a closer look at things like:

• HOA finances 💰
• Reserve funding 📊
• Insurance coverage 🛡️
• Building safety documentation 🏗️

For buyers, that could mean more paperwork, longer approval timelines, and in some cases, certain condo communities may no longer qualify for conventional financing.

The good news? These updates are designed to create stronger, healthier condo communities and help protect homeowners for years to come.

Not every transaction starts with a perfect plan.
