What are the most common barriers to homeownership?

1. Question: Not being able to qualify for a mortgage.

Figure out why fix it. Most often it’s a bad credit score that drags you back to
square 1. So start rebuilding!

2. Question: You can’t afford the down payment.

The usual rule of thumb is putting 20% down, but some lenders allow you to
put as little as 3% down depending on your credit and type of home.

3. Question: Waiting for the market to crash.

Nearly 30% of borrowers in forbearance are still current on their mortgage payments. Banks likely don’t want to repeat the mistakes of the Great Recession. This time, many will instead negotiate a modification plan with the borrower, which will enable households to maintain ownership of the home. With the amount of equity homeowners have today, many will be able to sell instead of going into foreclosure. Banks are unlikely to let what happened from 2008-2012 happen again, especially when the real estate market is playing a big part in our economic recovery.

Question: Interest Rates being high.

1981 interested rates were at 18.6% people were afraid to Buy houses but if you bought that house at 120,000 it would be at 20 times the value now. So the interest rates is not the issue it’s the finding the right home that will have value for you in 10 years

I am so excited to Announce, we are officially closed on Bridlewood. 🥂

When we first had the meeting with my seller, we wanted to make sure we were getting the house on the market at the right time, which we advised him was sooner than later since the market is a constant change. The seller was looking for great marketing and had already talked with other agents but felt we had the best marketing strategy and top notch marketing plan to get the house the most exposure in a changing market together with excellent negotiation abilities to handle any potential problems during escrow. My seller is so happy and overjoyed not only did we get the house in escrow after only being on the market for 4 days but we also got multiple offers, got over listing price & closed escrow in 27 days. It was a smooth transaction overall.

Congratulations to both parties, the buyers are excited for their new home. Thank you to my seller for choosing me as their realtor, I am so honored to be a part of this process with my sellers & can’t wait to get them moved in to their new home. 🤍
