In my previous life, I pretended I could ignore my stress and that would take care of it.
WOW, was that wrong. I crumbled physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. There was nothing left of me but a crying painful shell of a person.
Managing stress had to become a daily habit.
I had to see myself as worthy. Slowly, I relaxed.
*I learned to slow down.
*To sit still.
*To breathe deeply.
*To laugh loudly.
*To sleep soundly.
*To enjoy others again.
