Homebuyers are flooding the housing market right now to take advantage of record-low mortgage rates. ⁠

Many have a sense of urgency to find a home soon since experts forecast a steady rise in both rates and home prices this year and next. ⁠

As a result, buyer demand greatly outweighs the current housing supply. ⁠

Inventory of single-family homes a year ago was already very low, and as you can see in the graph below, this year’s levels are even lower.⁠

inspection as well as some tips to make the process a seamless one:

*What is a home inspection: home inspections can shed light on issues that may have been overlooked and need to be addressed before closing.

*Hiring a home inspector: make sure you work with a real estate agent as they can provide a list of trusted recommendations.

*During the inspection: the inspector will check the home from top-to-bottom, inside and out so make sure you are present on the day of the inspection!

*After inspection: a good home inspection report should provide in-depth information and it is normal to feel some uncertainty or doubt during this process—just make sure rely on your agent as a resource and have faith in their experience.
