These statistics are pulled from my local MLS, the Southland Regional Association of Realtors.

Includes single-family homes within Los Angeles County.

In a nutshell: Inventory went further down from August to September 2023, with the median days to sell increasing by 7 days in September. The median sales price dropped by
$ 10,000.00 for the month of September.

As the ' ber' months are upon us, the real estate landscape usually moves from 'fast' to 'slower' as most homeowners and buyers take a break.

What this may mean for you? If you're a homeowner selling this winter season, your house will stand out even more as inventory continues to dwindle. If you're a buyer, there's going to be less competition as the majority of buyers think the summer months are the best months to buy.

Negative headlines on home prices don’t always paint the real picture. Forecasts from December 2022 said housing prices to crash! This shook our confidence in the housing market causing home buyers & sellers to sit on the sidelines & ‘wait.’

Fast forward to today, we have data to support that home prices never crashed. The depreciation, if at all, was minimal & house prices are headed back up.

Water saving tip: say bye bye to grass! It was a difficult decision, but, happy I did.

The Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency
offers lawn replacement programs to convert grass to water efficient landscaping. I received $4k+ in rebate for taking out the grass, converting sprinklers to a drip irrigation system & planting California native plants.

Despite the hike in mortgage rates, you’d think that the housing market will crash, huh?

That isn’t the case!

One economic principle at play: high demand, low supply= means buyers will continue to bid up.
