Buyers are getting more from sellers than ever before. Meaning, if you are selling - be prepared to give a credit to close the deal. If you are buying, you’ll be able to negotiate more for your home.

Data from Redfin buyer agents across the U.S. is saying that at least half of sellers are giving concessions to buyers.

Home sellers gave concessions to buyers in 44.7% of U.S. home sales in August, which is higher than it was this same time last year.

In Los Angeles, California, that number is even higher than average, with 56.2% of home sellers giving buyers concessions at closing.

A concession could look like a closing cost credit, a price reduction, any seller buydown, or a repair to help make the deal happen and actually close.

Even though rates are up, there’s still a lot of room for negotiation to help you buy a house!

Congrats to my buyers for opening escrow on their first home! This townhome is in a super well-maintained complex with only 6 units, a low HOA, and a longtime owner who has taken great care of it.

There are a few issues to resolve from the inspection report, but overall it’s a great first home.

Plus, the location in Gardena is unbeatable!

Fingers crossed for all the ups and downs of escrow, and hoping for a smooth closing for these wonderful buyers!
