BungaHello! Last week and I met the welcoming neighbors in the Maltman Bungalows.

This private fruit tree lined mini-hood has 17 converted / preserved / restored classic LA bungalow style single family homes. They were built in 1926, and while they all have a similar design with Mission style flat roofs, each was given its own color and unique layout.

Originally only available as rentals... in 2008 a Conservancy Preservation project was awarded to the bungalows to rehabilitate the homes and sell to first-time homebuyers. With priority to the renters who lived there before - we spoke to one who's been there since the 80's!

A cute lemon fell from a tree and rolled down the drive as we were talking. Such abundance! 🍋

There are only a few hundred bungalow style homes left in Los Angeles. It's nice to see them protected and loved.
