Is this thing working? Haha
I know that it’s been a while since I’ve posted anything real estate related, but let this reminder be the mark of my comeback!

Check out the numbers from April!
As the trend has been, it was a month of record highs and record lows. But it also showed us something different!
In April of 2020, we were in the beginning of the pandemic, which put everything (except the grocery store) on halt. With that came the fear of selling and the fear of buying. As we began to adjust to the new norm, people became more comfortable with buying, but sellers were still reserved. This caused the inventory to subside while the demand continued to grow.
Last month, we saw one of the first shifts in inventory with an increase of 35% from last year! This post is becoming a novel, so I’m going to wrap it up. Long story short, we’re heading into the right direction and the market is beginning to balance itself out lol.

This was supposed to be an easy install. But THIS p.o.s made sure I took at least four trips to Home Depot and lost all of my dignity in the process. Three smashed fingers, two chunks of skin, a bruised arm and wrist, and several acts of desperation later and I got it off! Next time I’m just buying a new sink…😒

Up until 5 minutes ago, I truly didn’t know what the reasoning behind today was. So naturally, my curiosity led me to Google, which led me to Wikipedia.

What initially started in San Francisco as a day to honor the Earth and promote peace, flourished (like what I did there?) into something bigger than they would have ever imagined! The nationwide teach-in moment created the largest single-day protest to date, amassing over 20 million participants. This evolved even further into other major events around the world, but long story short, do your part.

Recycle ♻️ when possible. Reduce waste as much as possible. Take care of one another. Rebuke racism. And buy a plant 🌱 lol. This was the only one that we could trust ourselves with keeping alive 😅.

When you see numbers like this, paired with the speed of today’s market , you can easily become intimidated. But it isn’t always about what is on paper. The important thing to know is that this number DOES NOT represent the actual cost of the home that is right for YOU. Meaning, that there are a plethora of homes ranging from $200k and up on the market daily.
What this also means is to not wait for that magical day to purchase. If you are interested in owning now, look into it now! Talking to an agent and a mortgage broker could significantly help you decide on whether the time is now or if you have some saving/prepping to do to get to your goal of ownership. It doesn’t cost you to inquire. But it will cost you to wait.
