Everyday when I put on my makeup is always right next to me asking when she can wear “grown up” makeup 💄.

Yesterday, she asked me again, so I told her today’s the day 😃. Not only was I going to let her wear “grown up” makeup, but she was going to do mommy’s make up too. She was so excited 🤩 and hugged me for the rest of the day telling me how much she loved me and how in addition to wanting to be a fashion 👗👚👖 designer, she wants to also be a makeup artist 💄👩‍🎨!

This moment with Audrey was special because up until this moment I was always planning or rushing around making sure we got to school on time, or making it to the next appointment. Her persistency in asking me to play “makeup” with her got me pause to realize just how fast she’s growing up and the simple fact that I’ll never get to experience this same moment twice. Realizing this makes life more valuable and meaningful than anything else.
