Our hearts ache for those who have been affected by the devastating wildfires in our local LA neighborhoods. We are with you and will be of service in any way we possibly can ❤️

If you or anyone you know who’s been impacted, here are a few key steps + advice to start the long road ahead of rebuilding:

DOCUMENT EVERYTHING: Save all receipts for any expenses related to the fire, including temporary housing, food, clothing, and personal items. These may be reimbursable under their insurance policy’s “additional living expenses” (ALE) coverage.

FILE CLAIMS PROMPTLY: If you haven’t already, notify your insurance company as soon as possible to start the claims process. Document all damage with photos and videos before beginning cleanup.

REQUEST A COPY OF THE POLICY: Have your insurance policy handy to review coverage details. If you don’t have a copy, you can request one from your agent.

INVENTORY OF BELONGINGS: Make a detailed list of lost or damaged personal property, including approximate values and purchase dates. Photos, receipts, or credit card statements can help substantiate claims.

BE WARY OF SCAMS: Be cautious of unlicensed contractors or fraudulent offers of assistance. They should verify credentials before signing agreements.
