Small Business Saturday makes me grateful for the people who believed in Fairmeadow Capital while it is still taking shape. This year has been about learning, investing, and building a foundation for what I hope becomes a long-term real estate business.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this journey, offered advice, or shared their experience. I am looking forward to growing this into something steady and meaningful.

This year I’ve been working on something that means a lot to me: building Fairmeadow Capital slowly and intentionally, focusing on education, transparency, and real long-term value.

The plan is simple.

I’m documenting the entire process of building a small portfolio that performs well, learning the market deeply, and sharing the insights that actually help people make smarter decisions. My goal is to build trust early, invest with care, and create something steady that grows year after year.

Right now I’m focused on stabilizing my first duplex in Cleveland and preparing for the next one. I’m still doing this the old fashioned way: saving, studying, analyzing, networking, and taking one step at a time. And the more I talk with other investors, the more I see how many people want a clear path into real estate without the hype.

Fairmeadow Capital grew out of that mindset. I’m focused on buying small multifamily properties with solid fundamentals, improving them, and creating steady value over time. Not quick flips. Not hype. Real work that leads to real results.

I could play it safe and throw all my savings at debt.
But my loans are at 4%, and the deals I’m finding project 15%+ returns.
That spread matters.

More importantly, I’m gaining real experience:
🔹 Analyzing deals
🔹 Managing rehabs
🔹 Underwriting risk
🔹 Thinking like an investor, not just a saver

I still make my student loan payments every month.

When I picked up a second job to save for my first investment, I thought I was just chasing numbers.

But here’s what I’ve learned:

✅ You don’t need permission to build wealth
✅ You can buy back your time
✅ You can change lives by providing quality housing

Yes, the cash flow and equity matter, but the mission matters more.

We’re not just investing in properties.
