Point Vicente Lighthouse was just named one of the most spectacular lighthouses in California by the LA Times!
SRK’s managing principal Brian A. Kite is a proud Founding Member of Friends of Point Vicente Lighthouse volunteer support group. Built in 1926 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Point Vicente Lighthouse has sustained considerable damage over the years and is in need of major restoration. Standing 67 feet tall on the most southwesterly point of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, Point Vicente Lighthouse has long been one of this area's jewels, and we’re excited to be part of its rebirth!

Saddle Peak Road Rebuild in Topanga. In this time of great loss, we’re doing our part to help reconstruct and restore. SRK takes a more personal approach to home rebuilds, working with the clients to reimagine a fresh start, while honoring what was there before.

Some history. Development of what today is known as AltaSea at City Dock 1 in San Pedro was the brainchild of Dr. James Fawcett, Ph.D. The Annenberg Foundation provided a stipend to produce a Vision Study to convert the existing berths from historic transit sheds to modern marine research labs capable of accommodating moving Southern California Marine Institute (SCMI) to Berth 57. SCMI retained Brian Kite, AIA, to produce the first conceptual feasibility design, highlighting structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing criteria and improvements.

We thought we’d share this fun vintage photo of auto racing legend Bobby Unser (pictured on the right). Bobby had just won the 1974 California 500 race at the Ontario Motor Speedway (OMS).

The speedway was designed by the renowned architectural firm Kite & Overpeck Architects, and the principal in charge was Robert W. Kite AIA, the father of SRK’s managing principal Brian A. Kite, AIA, who carries on his legacy today.

SRK is reimagining the historic Los Angeles Tennis Club! Our project includes replacement and expansion for 6 new tennis courts and the addition of a pickle ball court! Our concept meets ADA standards and will help bring LATC into the 21st century. The six original courts were constructed in 1923!
