LA CITY MAKES 90% RENT INCREASES RETROACTIVE
On February 27th, the Los Angeles City Attorney reconsidered the rent increase ordinance with an “urgent” clause and changed implementation date of the 90% Consumer Price Index (CPI) Rent Stabilization Ordinance (RSO) formula from the standard annual and originally set July 1st start date to February 2, 2026. As we are now in the beginning of March, this new date means the ordinance will be retroactive as soon as it is passed.
