My love of Real Estate started when I inherited my childhood home from my late parents. After my father passed, my mom realized she no longer wanted to manage a household on her own, asked me to sell the house as soon as possible and get her in to a nice senior community. I quickly started the actions it takes to get the house sold. I met with and interviewed several agents, had the home inspected
, cleaned out 40 years of memories and prepped it for market. Unfortunately, my mom passed a couple of months later. For sentimental reasons, I chose to keep the house, remodel it and am the Property's Manager. While cleaning out the house, I found the envelope with all their mortgage papers. It contained a list of their payments, a budget of what they could afford and the original local newspaper clipping of the for sale ad from 1974. I also found the envelope containing the deed with a hand written note reading..."Today it’s officially our home, Yippie!". That's the moment I got what it took and meant to my parents to have a home and property of their own to care for our family. This entire process has allowed me such a great respect for the world of real estate that I knew this was the absolute next chapter of my life. I am so pleased to be a Realtor® and have it be the medium to help people find or sell the property of their dreams. I've found that most people in the property selling or buying market are in some form of transitional period, (buying their first home, needing more room, downsizing, relocating, investing for growth or just looking for the perfect place to retire). Being that person of service during this time is a great honor and I cannot image a more rewarding career. I greatly look forward to meeting and working with you on your next property endeavor.
