Everyone loves the beach, but I’d miss the simple West LA routines most. 🌷
Early morning walks down quiet, tree-lined blocks before the neighborhood wakes up. Picking up fresh bread from a favorite local bakery. The easy, five-minute drive home after a long, relaxed dinner on a patio with good friends.

Yeah, I’d really miss that. The headline stuff brings people to the westside, but these quiet pockets are what keep us here. 🤍

When buyers tell me they’re deciding between Westwood and Brentwood, my next question is usually: which part?

Because neither neighborhood is one single experience.
Your commute, the streets you use every day, whether you want to walk to coffee or have more privacy, whether you’re looking for a condo or a larger home. All of that starts to matter pretty quickly.

Sometimes two homes in the same neighborhood can suit completely different lifestyles. 🌷
So before getting attached to Westwood vs. Brentwood, I’d figure out what you actually want your day-to-day life to look like.

The duality is one of the things I love about West LA. 🤍

It never feels like just one thing.
On a single block, you can go from high-rise energy and modern rebuilds straight into a 1920s Spanish bungalow on a tree-lined street.

As a local agent, watching this duality of West LA styles and lifestyles coexist is easily my favorite part of house hunting here.

You can know that a smaller home makes sense and still feel the loss of leaving the home where years of life happened.

And I think that is why what comes next matters too.
The next home may be smaller, but it can still hold the things that matter to you: be it morning light, a garden, a kitchen you enjoy…room for the parts of life you want to keep. 🌷

That is the part many often miss:
You are not only deciding what you can live without.
You are deciding what is important enough to bring with you.

One of the things I love about older Spanish-style homes is that the character often starts at the sidewalk.
Before you see the kitchen, count the bedrooms, or think about finishes, approaching them has already done something.

Its details outside can create a sense of arrival.
People may not always know how to name it, they just know the home feels different before they even step inside.

And in real estate, that matters because buyers may compare homes by numbers, but they often remember them by feeling.
