I hope this finds you and your loved ones well and and healthy. I have been pretty quiet lately and want to reach out and let you know where I stand with respect to Covid-19 and real estate

The last month has NOT been business as usual in the real estate world regardless of the message some of my colleagues have been advertising. Yes, we have been deemed “essential” under the real estate umbrella and yes, some real estate services ARE essential (Escrow, title, lending etc). These are all services that can be performed remotely and without face to face interaction. In my opinion, by including agents and brokers in this group (aside from negotiations) the governor (while well intentioned)has made an enormous mistake which leaves both professionals and the public open to the potential for infection.

I have always put my clients needs above all else and they have always been more important to me than “the deal”. As such, I have, and will continue to, follow the rules - including the No Showings ban. To do otherwise would be unsafe for both my clients and myself and I’m just not willing to put either of us in jeopardy. People aren’t just “deals”. This isn’t Glengarry Glen Ross.... it’s real life and if “Covid is for closers”, count me out. Those who continue to enter and physically show homes- regardless of the precautions taken, are playing with fire and I question their ethics and decision making skills.

That said, I am always available to talk, text, e-mail, FaceTime, zoom, or messenger to discuss the short and long term impact of Covid-19. If you find yourself in the position of having to buy or sell, reach out and we can discuss remote options- especially If you’ve been thinking of investing.

As with everything else, this too shall pass. I wish you all health and peace and I’m always here when you need me.
