Family gatherings used to be a nightmare for me. Every time we got together, my sister would joke about how single I was. The last time, she set a place on the table for my “imaginary boyfriend,” and everyone laughed. That night, I decided I couldn't go through another family gathering like that. So, I did something bold: I hired a fake boyfriend.
I found Jake through an agency. We met a few times before the dinner to get our story straight and were ready to go. When the day of the family dinner arrived, I walked in with "my boyfriend," and my family was shocked.

MY PARENTS MADE ME ALONE PAY FOR MY DINNER WHILE COVERING MY SIBLINGS' MEALS — THEIR REASON LEFT ME SPEECHLESS.

A few months ago, my parents invited me to a family dinner at a nice restaurant. My sister, her husband, their kids, my brother, and his girlfriend were all there — ten of us in total. It was supposed to be a fun mini-reunion.

Everything was going great. We ordered a ton of food — appetizers, drinks, entrees, dessert — the whole nine yards. I was really enjoying the time with my loved ones.

But then the check came. My dad took it, and I didn't think much of it… until he started handing out the bill. He skipped over everyone else and handed me my portion, saying, "Pay for yourself. We're covering everyone else but not you because YOU ARE NOT" ⬇️

EVERY TIME MY HUSBAND LIES, I CATCH HIM — THANKS TO MY THERAPIST, WHO TAUGHT ME HOW TO SPOT A LIE.

So, during one of my sessions with my therapist, she let me in on a few tricks to catch someone lying. I joked, "Oh, I don't need that—I totally trust my husband" (and I really did trust him), but out of curiosity, I asked her to spill the secrets anyway.

Well, guess what? My husband was lying to me almost daily, and I started catching him red-handed — about his salary, about those business trips he supposedly took, and a bunch of other stuff. AND GUESS WHAT ELSE? These tricks work on kids too! You can totally catch them in their lies with these tips from my therapist!

So, here's one of the easiest ones I remembered:

MY OWN DAUGHTER RENTED OUT MY HOUSE THE MINUTE I WENT INTO THE HOSPITAL – I DIDN'T LET IT SLIDE

I specifically asked my daughter and her husband to take good care of my home while I was in the hospital. That's why it was especially heartbreaking when I found out that they had listed it for rent. I was devastated when I saw the listing.

All my late husband's clothes were still in the house, along with our handmade plates and my mother's jewelry. Imagining what could have happened to these cherished belongings almost gave me a heart attack!

I had enough alone time to come up with a plan on how to teach them a lesson. So, when I got out of the hospital, I rented my house through a friend to teach my kids a lesson. As soon as I arrived ⬇️

My husband and I decided to adopt due to my health history. I believe it was the best decision of our lives. We didn't tell everyone until all the paperwork was finished, so when my mother-in-law found out that everything had been set up, she became unbearable.

She never showed up to the "Welcome to the family" party and refused to be called grandma. As our daughter's birthday approached, we threw her a party, to which my mother-in-law promised to show up after my husband had a serious conversation with her.

"It is all her fault," she said to him. "If she wasn't afraid to get pregnant, we would have a normal family."

My grandparents on my mother's side took me in when my mom passed away in a car accident, and my father abandoned me. I was just two years old at the time, and they became my only family.

They cared for me and were willing to do anything for me. Recently, I graduated from high school. Thanks to my grandparents, I had the opportunity to get into a good college, one of the best in the state. I couldn't wait for them to see me on stage after I completed my degree. However, on the day of graduation, everything changed.

When my grandparents arrived and took their seats in the hall, I walked up to them and told them to leave. They were, of course, shocked, but I said it loudly enough that other guests heard, so they had no choice but to go. My grandmother started crying, and it was bitter for me to see, but she ⬇️

I LOST WEIGHT TO TEACH MY ARROGANT HUSBAND A LESSON, BUT HE WAS IN FOR AN EVEN BIGGER SURPRISE.

For the past few years, I've been struggling with my weight. No matter what I did, those extra pounds just wouldn't budge! The thing is, I'm a pastry chef, and you can imagine that tasting everything is part of the job. And my husband, Bryce... well, he didn't make things any easier.

Most women hope for support from their partner, but mine never missed a chance to mock me. When I put on my new dress, he said, "TAKE IT OFF! BUY YOURSELF A GYM MEMBERSHIP." And then he called his friends and laughed, making jokes about my weight, thinking I couldn't hear.

But the final straw was when I finally managed to drag him to an important culinary event, and he had the nerve to flirt with another woman right in front of me! When I confronted them, he simply said, "THIS IS HOW A WOMAN SHOULD LOOK IN A DRESS. GO AWAY!" And continued to laugh with her.

My heart shattered into tiny pieces, but I knew I wouldn't tolerate it any longer. I'd had enough — he would pay for all the humiliation. From that moment on, I trained hard, and my figure started to change for the better.

The attention from my husband didn't increase, but I didn't need it. I wanted to crush his ego. And believe me, I'll succeed because I HAVE AN ACE UP MY SLEEVE. ⬇️
