One of my first projects when I started Erbe Design, my graphic design studio, I had the opportunity to work with LACMA and David Hockney on the posters for Hockney’s 1988 LACMA retrospective. I met with him and his NicolsvCanyon home and studio, he was gracious and lovely to work with. A very exciting opportunity for me starting my career. David Hockney, Magenta Curtin. RIP lovely and brilliant soul!

We are utterly moved…. physically and emotionally. We just turned the keys over to lovely the new owners of our Oxley home. May it build as many fond and fruitful memories for them as it has for us in its many incarnations. We have grown up together. Stumbling upon the overgrown property in South Pasadena in 1994, we never knew it would be the place we would live and work in longer than any other place we have lived in and one that would hold so many dear memories. It started as our graphic design and photo studio, drawing us from our studio on La Cienega to be closer to our then home in Mount Washington. So many great people and work came out of this place. Home to award winning design and photography by the talented and cherished people (and pets) who came through the studio and made it happen — Rita, Dan, Efi, Karen, Tuan, Tom, Mom, and so many others along the way. After many years as our design and photo studio, it took on a new life as our home and office, and housed us in our new careers renovating houses and renovating realtors of architectural properties. Thank you Oxley and to all of you friends and family who shared so many great times there. It’s now on to a new chapter, a Harold Bissner mid century fixer in the Arroyo in Pasadena, and a new place to call home!
