You do not need two weeks and a passport. You just need a plan and a few hours in the car.
Los Angeles sits close enough to some of the best beach towns, mountain towns, and wine regions in California that most of these are doable on a tank of gas or a short flight. A mix of day trips and overnights. Something for every kind of long weekend.

Paso Robles / 3 hrs 31 min by car / Stay: Allegretto Vineyard Resort
Napa Valley / 1 hr 20 min flight (or 6 hrs 27 min by car) / Stay: Carneros Resort and Spa or Stanly Ranch

This is one of my favorite things about living in Los Angeles. The location puts you closer to more than most people realize.

Selling your home in Brentwood or Santa Monica shouldn't feel like a gamble.
