The client wanted us to design a security system so he can use Apple Home Care for total connect on his cell phone
I Really like the honeywell Lyric security system with 100 zones
Didnt want to wast the existing wired zones. Used the existing hard wire through a hard wire to wireless converter. Added a dozen other wireless glass break and additional wireless window contact
And used the new Honeywell 360 to program cellular and duel path wifi communicator.
The technical team at Honeywell were great.
Used the new indirection wireless on some parts
But for aesthetic reasons used the one inch third party
Honeywell compatible transmitter because of size
Aesthetics. Works well. Did hit some blind spots
Relocated some transmitters higher up. That worked.

A problem. A door size mirror next to the alarm reciever would cause transmission issues. I used to be an rf engineer The back of all mirrors
Have metal film so rf signals cannot pass through directly. Thus reducing much of the rf transmission path.
