Happy birthday to my favorite person! This is 50! Matt Livingston we have been together almost 2/3 of our lives - nearly 32 years. We basically grew up together. And now you are fifty - a half century. It’s crazy I remember being at your dad’s 50th!
You have always been unassuming but strong. Forever loyal you always show up for those that you love. You are not a pushover and it’s actually funny to me when someone describes you as chill and laidback. Yet you are kind and thoughtful and always polite (I still have time to learn!). You’re the first person I want to tell good or bad news to, and the person I still make laugh after all these years. Who else could go along with my many insane costume requests on Halloween or perhaps on vacation!
We’ve built an incredible life together. We’ve raised amazing kids, traveled the world, moved across the country without jobs those 22 years ago. We’ve taken risks and supported each other through building our businesses. I can’t believe where we are now.
Turning 50 isn’t about meeting milestones and achievement. It’s about having a life that’s rich with family, friendship, experiences, good health and love. And you have created a perfect runway to fly well through the next 50 years.
Thank you for sharing this life with me. If I had the chance to do it all over again, I would choose you every single time.
Here’s to the next fifty years—more adventures, more laughter, more trips, more times with friends, more mornings drinking coffee together (in total silence) and of course making the best memories. Xoxox
