I was recently quoted in Forbes discussing a trend I’ve been seeing among some Los Angeles buyers.
For years, the traditional path was simple: buy the most expensive home you could comfortably afford and build wealth through your primary residence. While that’s still the right choice for many people, some buyers are taking a different approach.
Rather than tying up a large amount of capital in a primary home, some are choosing to rent where they live while investing in income-producing real estate elsewhere. They’re looking at cash flow, rental yields, long-term appreciation, and how their money can work hardest for them.
It’s an interesting shift in mindset and one that’s becoming more common as home prices, interest rates, insurance costs, and lifestyle priorities continue to evolve.
Thank you to Forbes for including my perspective in the article.
