One of the most encouraging things in our first round of Google reviews has been seeing a consistent theme:

Clients mentioning communication, transparency, and attention to detail.

That’s exactly what we’re trying to build at Peake Built - a construction experience that’s as solid as the home itself.

Grateful for the early clients who trusted us with their projects.

A hillside home shaped by its setting.

An 800 SF wrap-around porch anchors the design, creating outdoor living space on all sides and taking full advantage of the views across this 40-acre property.

Highlights include a standing seam metal roof, natural stone fireplace sourced on-site, and warm wood details throughout. Inside, a Thermador appliance package, oversized walk-in shower, and heated bathroom floors round out the experience.

This one was all about balance—comfort, durability, and respect for the land.

Final photos from a contemporary build in the Highlands.

Block-style form, PBR metal siding, and a flat TPO roof deck overlooking the city. Built with cost efficiency and long-term value in mind, while maintaining flexibility— including a ground-level studio lockout and a third-floor entertaining space that opens directly to the roof deck.

This home was built for a client with a clear design vision, and our role was executing that vision with discipline, efficiency, and attention to detail.

📐 Building a home is a design process that doesn’t start and end with the drawings—here’s why that matters

One thing many homeowners don’t realize when starting a custom build is how much of the project is still being defined early on.

Most residential homes are priced as a lump sum before every detail is finalized. Drawings may still be conceptual, some systems haven’t been fully designed, and many finish selections haven’t been made.

To account for that, allowances are included—essentially budgets within the overall price. The challenge is that without industry context, it’s hard for an owner to know what those numbers actually mean or how much flexibility they provide.

The reality is that building a custom home is a design-build process. Many critical design decisions happen during construction, not before it.

When that reality isn’t acknowledged upfront, it can feel like costs are changing unexpectedly—when in truth, the project is simply becoming more defined.

Every custom home starts with a clear vision.

These renderings helped guide early design decisions, and we’re excited to now be bringing this home to life through construction. Alignment up front makes all the difference once the build begins.

Star Barn Lane is full of surprises.

The farmhouse exterior opens into a clean, modern interior with details that bring the whole home together — high-gloss frameless cabinets with Italian tile, a hidden room behind a double bookcase wall, and a glass subway tile shower finished with subtle accents.

It’s a great example of how thoughtful design can deliver both character and precision in the same home.

Ask anyone who has built a home before: the toughest part usually isn’t the craftsmanship — it’s the uncertainty.

So we structured Peake Built around one promise:
You will never wonder what’s happening with your project.

Clear timelines, transparent numbers, and steady communication.
That’s how a building experience should feel.

What you’re seeing here is Day 1 of framing, but the real work started long before the first wall went up.

This client came to us with a vision—and questions about how to navigate the minor subdivision plat process. We met several times to walk them through it step by step, set expectations, and help them feel confident in the path forward.

Once approved, we spent time onsite together selecting the perfect placement for the home on this beautiful 5-acre property. We looked at grading, natural views, drainage, and how to create the right balance between an inviting backyard and strong curb appeal.

Now the fun part begins.

Pulled from the site. Crafted by hand.
This fireplace features stone individually selected from a creek bottom and a custom mantle milled from a tree saved on-site.
