📣Listen up friends and sellers 📣
We are in a buyer’s market. If you’re planning to list your home, please hear me out. I would never tell you wrong!
Buyer’s won’t see all the potential in your home. What they will see is dollar signs! Yep. They’ll see loads of money leaving their pockets, when they are already seeing higher interest rates than they like, and asking prices that they don’t like either. They’ll also see the blood, sweat, and tears in doing all that work themselves. They’ll see many late nights. They’ll see having to find contractors to do the work they can’t. They’ll see living through the messes until the projects you were putting off are finally finished.
Sellers, do yourself a favor and get your home market ready before you list! I cannot tell you how important this is, especially now. Buyers have lots and lots of homes to choose from right now. Over 4,200 in our local MLS. That’s the most we’ve seen in about 6 years.
So, clean your house, really clean it! Freshen up the yard, the porch and front door, the mailbox area too. Declutter every room. Remove furniture if you have to. Box things up and put them neatly in the garage, in a POD, a friends house. Whatever it takes!
You’ll be glad you did when your house stands out and you go under contract while you watch other homes sit on the market forever.
