That's a question I get pretty often, and the honest answer is... It depends.

Different loan programs have different credit score requirements, and lenders may have their own guidelines on top of that.

The good news is you don't need perfect credit to become a homeowner. I've seen people wait because they assumed their score wasn't high enough, only to find out they had more options than they realized.

I’ve seen military families handle a PCS move a lot of different ways.
