I created Westwater Realty to gather intelligent and skilled agents who also believe in putting clients first! I'm a Colorado native from Boulder County, and I’d love to be on your team when it comes to selling or buying in the Front Range area (from Boulder to Denver and beyond). My background allows me to view real estate from a unique marketing and branding perspective. I'm a results guy focused on details - small and large – while interacting on a human level with care, kindness and integrity. I was born in Boulder and also resided in Littleton and Lafayette. After my teenage years as a professional river rafting guide in the Colorado mountains and canyon lands of Utah, I attended college at Tulane. I then worked as a manager and agent to music artists and celebrities, while also putting on private and public events for non-profits, universities, corporations and private clients. During that time, I lived in New Orleans, Boston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Orange County California. My deep Colorado roots eventually brought me home to Boulder County permanently, when my wife and I purchased a home in Louisville for our family of twin boy/girl 5-year-olds. Serving my community is a core value for me and I love putting smiles on people's face through the experience of music at community concerts. As an active member of the Louisville Cultural Council, I run the music at Louisville's Concerts in the Park Series as well as The Boulder Jewish Festival. While I left the music and entertainment business behind for real estate (until I find time to dip a toe back into events, especially free community ones), those worlds sometimes come together. Today was a good one, as we closed on my friend Stew Sallo's sale of his office building, which served as home for the publication he founded, The Boulder Weekly, for the last 30 years(!). I think it's one of the best alternative weeklies out there, and I was a regular reader of the local versions in the various cities I've lived in, or the ones I enjoyed reading when my artists were featured or the few times I was also interviewed. The Boulder Weekly lives on, though like most similar publications, they are becoming more digital than print-focused and don't require the same-sized physical office space. Stew is an innovator and it was a pleasure to help list his building for sale. And it's always a treat to work with friends! Real Estate doesn't have to always be crazy and brutal right now. I have a Buyer under contract on an off-market, pre-listing home in Longmont and a Seller doing the same on a Coal Creek Canyon mountain home. They each met a Seller and Buyer (respectively) somewhat organically, with great timing and luck. It can happen! Neither of the other parties had an agent and asked me to handle everything, so we all worked together with transparency and great, friendly communication to put things into motion. For both homes, we updated my status to Transaction Broker providing advice, guidance and confidentiality to each side. We made the numbers work for the Buyers and Sellers, taking into account what the homes would have reasonably done in this market. It's a beautiful thing! My in-house Transaction Coordinator Jen and I are fortunate to work with four good people in a cooperative effort on two home sales/purchases to ensure everyone wins. What a concept!
