As most of you know I worked in the Service Industry for many, many years. It’s incredibly hard work that is quite thankless at times. You strive every day to bring people an enjoyable experience sometimes at the sacrifice of your own sanity! Unfortunately when you are working for tips or in a seasonal capacity you may not feel like homeownership is attainable. It’s easy to get stuck in a cycle of paying rent (aka someone else’s mortgage) year after year.
My friends Sabine Weigelt & Mary Byrne Fowler from Vanguard Mortgage would like to bring some insight to anyone interested in learning about how to purchase your own home. We will be providing some valuable information including financing, budgeting, buying with roommates, etc. Please feel free to share this event.

“Thankful” would be a understatement of how I feel about my career & my clients! In the past 5 months I have helped 5 first time homebuyers. And currently have 3 more under contract! As someone who never understood the process until later in life, I realize now how important it is to educate yourself on the benefits of homeownership. Please don’t assume it’s not possible. In some cases you might even be eligible for Down Payment Assistance that gets you to the closing table with very little cash up front! It takes dedication & courage like that of my clients, but with the right help you can do it if you want to. Why create wealth for someone else by paying their mortgage? When I look back & think about all of the amazing cities where I have lived in here in the US, I REALLY wish that someone would’ve helped me navigate how to purchase a home in each & every one of them! That would’ve been a real game changer for myself & for my family. But I never thought it was possible because I struggled to save money for that “big downpayment” I thought was needed. The truth is most states offer incredible opportunities for downpayment assistance programs. And as a matter of fact the Kentucky Housing Corporation has increased their offering from $10,000 to $12,500 until November 30th for eligible loan recipients! This is an amazing opportunity! Please share with anyone you know that might be struggling with the same dilemma that I had whether it’s here in KY or another state. I will look into for you! If you want to own your own place, you absolutely can. You just need the right people to help guide you ❤️
