Berkley texted Hilary to see if she could come over Saturday, and around here, the answer to that question is always YES. 💕

Being a mom to girls is one of my greatest gifts, and having my niece jump right into the fun with us makes it even sweeter.

We didn’t do anything big or elaborate. They played outside, pulled out a board game, we did a directed drawing together…and apparently decided we should all learn how to be Spider-Man. 😂🕷️

At 45, some might say I’m a little too old to be climbing walls and attempting superhero moves in the hallway. I disagree. 🤣

These girls remind me that growing older doesn’t have to mean growing out of the silly stuff. Maybe we only really start getting old when we stop playing, laughing, trying ridiculous things and saying YES to moments like these.

Because someday, these ordinary Saturdays are going to be the memories I wish I could step back into for just five minutes.

So thankful for motherhood, aunt life, these girls, and a Saturday that wasn’t anything “special”…but somehow was. 💕✨

I had no idea when I first walked through these doors how much this place would come to mean to me. 💕

I’m incredibly grateful for this place and the people in it. Here I’ve challenged myself, gotten stronger, tried things I never thought I could do, found an amazing community, and somewhere along the way, found pieces of myself that I had lost. 💕

Yoga… it keeps reminding me that sometimes you just have to say yes and walk through the door. You never know what—or who—might be waiting on the other side. 🫶

And if you’ve been wanting to try something new but don’t want to walk in alone, come with me. I mean it. 💕 I’d love to share this place with you.

It’s almost 9 PM… and I’m determined to get my steps in. 👟💕

Today started at Hilary’s school at 8 AM watching her cantor at Mass, followed by a wonderful office meeting, lunch with our awesome agents to celebrate National Guacamole Day 🥑, answering calls and emails while getting my hair done, getting Hilary to dance, sneaking in Pilates, making dinner, finishing a few more work things… and now this. 😂

Because you can’t have a high-quality life without high-quality health.

And I’m learning that taking care of myself doesn’t always happen at the perfect time or look like the perfect wellness routine.

Sometimes it’s yoga. Sometimes it’s cycling or pilates. And sometimes it’s almost 9 PM and I’m walking on the walking pad because I made a promise to myself that I would move my body today. 💕

Life is FULL. Work is full. Motherhood is full. And there will always be another email to answer or something that needs to be done.

But I want to be healthy enough to fully enjoy this life I’m working so hard to build. 💕

So tonight, we’re getting the steps in.

What does a Realtor actually do to help sell your home? Sometimes… it looks exactly like this. 😂💕

There’s a whole side of real estate that never makes it into the listing photos or onto the closing table.

Sometimes I’m negotiating an offer or reviewing a contract. Sometimes I’m coordinating inspections, repairs, photographers and deadlines. And sometimes I’m at the house rolling up my sleeves, moving things around, cleaning something up or taking care of one more little detail before we’re ready to hit the market.

After 13 years as a Realtor in the Greater Louisville area and hundreds of closings, I’ve learned that being a good real estate agent is often about the things your clients never even know you did.

The phone call behind the scenes.
The problem you solved before it became their problem.
The conversation where you advocated for them.
The schedule you rearranged.
The lunch you forgot to eat. 🫣
The extra trip to the house because something just needed to get done.

Because when someone trusts me to help them buy or sell a home, I don’t take that lightly.

A home sale can represent decades of memories, a first home, a growing family, a downsizing season, a fresh start or an entirely new chapter.

So no, for me, real estate has never been about just opening doors or putting a sign in the yard.

It’s about taking care of people—and sometimes that means getting your hands a little dirty along the way. 😂💕

This is what I hope my real estate career always looks like. ❤️

Congratulations to Charlie and Theresa on closing one chapter after 40 years in their home and beginning a brand-new one! 🏡

This closing is especially meaningful because Charlie and Theresa came to me as a referral from their daughter and son-in-law, who I had the privilege of helping a couple of years ago. And if we go back even further, I first started helping members of this family in 2018.

Helping someone buy or sell a home is always special. Being trusted by multiple members and generations of the same family over the years? That is one of the greatest gifts of this career. 🥹💕

When Charlie and Theresa decided it was time to downsize, we started by finding the perfect patio home for their next chapter. Then it was time to prepare and sell the home they had loved and cared for for four decades.

And let me tell you—they were ON IT. Their records were incredibly detailed, their home was meticulously maintained, and they were an absolute dream to work with.

Of course, real estate decided to give us a little plot twist. 🫣 Our first buyer got cold feet, which meant heading back on the market when none of us expected it.

But sometimes the unexpected detour leads you exactly where you need to be.

We ended up with a higher offer than the first, and the new homeowners were genuinely excited, appreciative and so kind. In the end, it all worked out exactly as it was supposed to. ❤️

Charlie and Theresa, thank you for trusting me with such a big transition and for sticking with me through every high, low and unexpected turn. It means more than you know.

After 40 years in one home, here’s to less maintenance, a beautiful new patio home and a whole new chapter ahead. 🥂🏡

And this right here is why I will always say: real estate is about so much more than houses. It’s about people, relationships and being there for the chapters that matter.

13 years in real estate. Hundreds of closings. And apparently I can still forget to remind my sellers about the smoke detector requirements before closing. 🫣🤣

Today, just before closing, we realized my listing needed new smoke detectors installed.

So after accidentally selling Coke all over myself 🤦🏼‍♀️, I went home to change, headed to Lowe’s, grabbed the required 10-year, non-removable lithium battery smoke detectors, and put my handyman skills to work. 🔨😂

Smoke detectors installed ✔️
Sign picked up ✔️
Lockbox removed ✔️
Made it to closing ✔️
Another wonderful family helped ✔️

And this one felt extra special. 💕

My sellers owned and cared for this home for 40 years. Four decades of memories, maintenance, love, and life inside those walls—and today we officially handed the keys to its next owner.

Real estate isn’t always the pretty closing photo. Sometimes it’s a last-minute Lowe’s run and me standing on a step stool (that I now keep in my van because of this 🤣) installing smoke detectors. 😂

But after all these years, that’s still one of my favorite parts of what I do: whatever needs to happen to get my clients across the finish line, we figure it out. 🙌🏻

So grateful for these sellers, their trust in me, and the opportunity to be a small part of this home’s 40-year story. ❤️🏡

And apparently grateful for the opportunity to keep my handyman skills sharp, too. 🤣

A little reminder that this world is still pretty incredible. 🤍

Trees communicate. 🌳
Octopuses dream.
Bees dance to tell each other where the flowers are. 🐝
Crows remember faces.
Elephants remember and mourn.
And a cat’s purr may do more than comfort us—its frequency has even been studied for its connection to healing. 🐈

Sometimes I think we get so caught up in the schedules, responsibilities, work, phones, and everyday noise that we forget to look around and realize just how wild and beautiful it is that we get to be here.

There is still so much goodness.
So much beauty.
So much we don’t fully understand.

Maybe the world is still a little more magical than we remember. ✨

And maybe we just need to slow down long enough to notice it. 🤍

This time last year—to the day—I was in North Carolina on my very first yoga retreat and my first solo trip in almost 20 years. 🥹✨

I knew some of the amazing women who would be there, but I didn’t know everyone. And as someone who tends to be a little more reserved, saying yes to something like that can feel pretty intimidating.

But I said yes anyway.

And that trip changed something in me.

I slowed down.
I started journaling again.
I got practice yoga every day.
I sat around tables sharing meals with incredible humans.
I made friendships that didn’t end when the retreat did.

More than anything, I think I started finding my way back to myself.

Last night, a lot of our retreat crew got together again—as we have several times over this past year—and looking around that room, my heart was so full. 💕

So here’s your reminder to listen to that little voice inside of you that keeps asking you to come back to yourself.

Take the trip.
Try the class.
Go by yourself.
Meet the new people.
Do the thing that feels a little scary but keeps tugging at you.

Because sometimes one little “yes” changes more than you ever expected.

And apparently I’m still learning that lesson… because last night I said YES to something I’ve wanted to do for almost FIVE YEARS. 👀✨

Stay tuned.

Maybe it’s midlife.

Or maybe I’m just waking up. 💕
